Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• NY State Medication Technician certification required by NYS.
• Prior assisted living or long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively in urgent situations.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications per physician orders and NYS guidelines.
• Document all medications in MAR.
• Observe residents for side effects and report concerns promptly.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications.
• Coordinate with pharmacies and providers for refills and updates.
• Monitor residents' health and well-being and inform Administration of changes.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid within training.
• Arrange transportation for medical appointments or transfers.
• Document changes in functional status, personal needs, and appointments.
