Job summary

Talentburst, Inc. is seeking an Allied Health Professional for the Medical Technologist role in North Bergen, NJ. This onsite contract lasts 3+ months with a night shift from Tuesday to Saturday, 11 PM–7:30 AM, at a hospital setting.

Requirements include a BS in Medical Technology (or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology) and 1 year of clinical lab experience in high-complexity testing. Training at Hackensack University Medical Center and transition to Palisades Medical Center are noted.

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Medical Technology; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology.
• One year clinical laboratory experience in highly complex testing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, test analyses, reporting and record keeping of patient results.
• Maintain records showing proficiency testing specimens tested consistently with patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures and review/release test results.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
• Adhere to quality control policies, document calibrations and maintenance.
• Identify problems affecting test performance and notify senior staff.
• Document corrective actions for deviations from performance specifications.
• Report STATS or Critical results to clients as required.
• Maintain complete on-site testing records and department appearance.
• Attend training meetings and participate in safety sessions.
• Possibly participate in inspections and perform other duties as directed by supervisor.

Education
