Job summary

CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, New Jersey, is seeking a Full-Time Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician for the Night Shift. The incumbent will perform routine laboratory testing using automated analyzers and manual methods, coordinate shift operations, and ensure timely, accurate reporting of results.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, strong computer skills, and knowledge of LIS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology is required.
• ASCP certification preferred.
• HEW registration preferred.
• NCA certification preferred.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of LIS are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory testing of blood and body fluids using automated analyzers and manual methods.
• Reports tests accurately within timing guidelines and lab procedures.
• Verifies critical results and documents accordingly.
• Calibrates and maintains laboratory instrumentation.
• Trains students and new employees and approves their training completion.
• Provides guidance to Medical Laboratory Technicians and phlebotomists.
