Job summary

Freeman Health in Siloam Springs, AR is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to perform routine and specialized tests on blood and body fluids. You will ensure accurate results by following strict quality controls and participate in instrument maintenance and regulatory reporting.

The role requires MT/MLS certification (or equivalent) and a bachelor's degree in medical technology, with at least one year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• MT/MLS (ASCP), MT (AMT), CLS (NCA), HEW or equivalent certification.
• Bachelor's in medical technology from an accredited institution.
• One year acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and specialized moderate and high complexity tests on blood and body fluids.
• Ensures accurate results by following a strict quality control program.
• Performs instrument function checks and preventative maintenance per department procedures.
• Maintains records and statistical data for regulatory compliance.
• Teaches new employees and students laboratory policies and procedures.
• Collects chain of custody urine drug screens as required.
• Assists in other laboratory areas to maintain patient care.
