Job summary

Freeman Health System in Siloam Springs, AR seeks a certified Medical Laboratory Technologist (MT/MLS) to perform routine and high-complexity tests on blood and body fluids. You will follow a strict quality-control program to ensure accurate results and maintain documentation.

You will conduct instrument checks and preventive maintenance, teach new staff, collect urine drug screens with chain of custody, and assist across the lab to ensure excellent patient care under minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• MT/MLS (ASCP), MT (AMT), CLS (NCA), HEW or equivalent certification
• Bachelor's in medical technology from an accredited institution
• One year acute care experience

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and specialized moderate and high complexity laboratory tests on all blood and body fluid specimens.
• Adheres to strict quality control to ensure accurate, reliable results.
• Performs instrument function checks and preventative maintenance per policy.
• Maintains records and statistical data as required by regulations.
• Teaches new employees and students laboratory policies and procedures.
• Collects chain of custody urine drug screens as required.
• Assists in other laboratory areas to support patient care.
