Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technician to perform clinical laboratory testing under supervision, ensuring accuracy and quality in patient results. The role may supervise and teach laboratory staff while maintaining equipment and records.

Responsibilities include maintaining accuracy in patient testing, analyzing data, ensuring proper specimen identification, and reporting results within turnaround times. Night shifts, safety, and compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Medical Science; Master’s preferred.
• Certification such as MT(ASCP) or MLS(ASCP) or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of laboratory experience preferred.
• Proficiency in computer/data entry; Excel and Word; Epic and 3M experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy in patient, quality assurance, proficiency, and competency testing.
• Analyze, interpret, and report laboratory data using clinical knowledge.
• Ensure proper specimen identification and document investigations of QA issues.
• Report lab data accurately within established turnaround times.
• Monitor, investigate, and resolve information, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Contribute to performance improvements and inspection readiness, including assisting with new testing methods.
• Adhere to safety, policies, and regulatory standards, maintaining current knowledge and training.
