Job summary

Jobot is seeking an IMC Medical Surgical Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (7 PM–7 AM) to provide comprehensive care in a fast-growing New Braunfels area hospital. The role requires Texas RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS within specified timelines, with opportunities for clinical advancement and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license or multistate compact RN license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• At least one year of related nursing experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required at the time of hire.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire for experienced nurses or within 90 days for new graduates and nurses new to the specialty.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for assigned patients.
• Provide routine and complex nursing care in an IMC and medical surgical setting.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition, treatment effectiveness, and potential side effects.
• Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, treatments, and care provided.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Educate patients, family members, and caregivers regarding treatment plans, medications, and resources.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and other members of the clinical team.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate responsibilities to other care providers.
• Complete required orientation, onboarding, MedSurg competency validation, and annual competency requirements.
