Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) II to join its laboratory team as a Generalist. This role involves processing and testing across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced hospital environment, with a focus on quality patient care.

The position offers night shifts (1830-0700) three 12-hour shifts per week, weekend/holiday rotation, and a sign-on bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field.
• MLT certification (ASCP/AMT/AAB or equivalent) preferred/required.
• Strong generalist laboratory skills and commitment to quality patient care.
• Ability to perform testing across multiple laboratory disciplines in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Reports and maintains record of patient test results with turnaround times.
• Documents patient test management problems and initiates corrective action.
• Performs quality controls for equipment and troubleshoots instrumentation as needed.
• Operates all instrumentation to deliver precise, timely laboratory results and performs procedures.
• Trains new personnel in methods and equipment.
