Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist for Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, AL. The position supports night shifts on a 7 on/7 off rotation and focuses on accurate laboratory analyses and timely service to patients and staff.

The ideal candidate will hold ASCP MT certification with an associate degree in MLT or higher in a CLIA-qualified setting, and demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills to work independently or within a team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with Medical Laboratory Technology and ASCP Board of Registry certification required.
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Medical or Clinical Laboratory Sciences meeting CLIA qualifications for moderate & high complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory analyses accurately and efficiently for patients, physicians, and hospital staff.
• Detect unusual conditions and assume responsibility for problem solving.
• May have additional duties within scope of the role.
