Job summary

OhioHealth Core Lab in a health system seeks a Medical Technologist (ASCP) to perform accurate, timely patient test results with automation, manual methods, and QC across blood, urine, spinal fluid, and other specimens.

Night shift, 16 hours weekly; requires Bachelor’s in Medical Technology and ASCP certification. Responsibilities include QC, instrument maintenance, training, and ensuring data validity for diagnosis and patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology (Required).
• ASCP certification or equivalent required.
• Two-year Field of study in applied science or medical laboratory technology incl. MLT internship and board exam.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate, precise, and timely patient test results for diagnoses.
• Quality control checks on procedures, equipment, reagents, and data.
• Troubleshoot procedures and instruments; ensure data validity before release.
• Maintain safety and infection control practices; assist in new method evaluation.
• Train new employees and students; participate in continuing education.
