Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Technologist for our Dublin, OH team. The role involves handling specimens, performing routine and complex procedures, and maintaining instruments to ensure accurate test results.

The candidate should have a relevant science degree and laboratory experience, with ASCP/AMT certification preferred. We offer a Friday–Monday night schedule, opportunities for growth, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science or Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits meeting CLIA standards may meet education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results for quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
