Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for the night shift to join a dedicated laboratory team in Pasadena, Texas. The MLT will perform manual and automated tests and ensure accurate reporting of results while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

The successful candidate will have an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or CLT, CLIA eligibility, and preferably MLT (ASCP) with about 1 year of clinical lab experience.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Medical Laboratory Technology/CLT from an accredited program.
• CLIA guidelines for MLT/CLT eligibility acceptable.
• MLT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated test procedures.
• Report laboratory results accurately, including critical values.
• Work across chemistry, hematology, microbiology as needed.
• Answer inquiries on tests, methodology, and test sensitivity/specificity.
• Evaluate collection and processing of specimens to resolve issues.
• Respond to stat and priority tests to support patient care.
