Texas Health Resources is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist for our Texas Health Physicians Group in Euless, TX. The role supports a team-based lab environment and requires a Bachelor's degree in MT or equivalent science, plus MT/MLS certification and 2 years hospital lab experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in MT program or equivalent Science required.
• 2 Years Hospital Experience or Medical Laboratory preferred.
• MLS - Medical Lab Scientist Certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, HHS or NCA) 6 Months required Or MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist 6 Months required Or MT - Medical Technologist 6 Months required.

Responsibilities

• Follow established laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, and test analysis.
• Adhere to laboratory quality control policies, document all quality control activities and corrective action.
• Adhere to all laboratory policies for established acceptability for proficiency testing, corrective actions and resolution of deficiencies.
• Communicates directly with clinicians regarding critical lab results and patient care.
• Operates, calibrates, and conducts performance checks on laboratory equipment in accordance with lab policies and vendor requirements.
• Demonstrates competency in all areas of the laboratory for which patient test reports are issued.
• Other duties as assigned
