Job summary

Indiana University Health’s Ball Memorial laboratory is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform tests on patient specimens and contribute to diagnostic information. The role requires maintaining records, applying quality control, and using independent judgment to produce reliable results.

Initial training will be on the Day Shift for up to 17 weeks, after which staff will move to the Night Shift. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for Evening or Night MLS shifts, with comprehensive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Certification or eligibility for board certification within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests on patient specimens.
• Maintain records and ensure quality control.
• Communicate results to support diagnosis and treatment.
• Instruct staff on procedures as needed.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related sciences
