The role requires a Bachelors in Medical Technology or related sciences, 1 year of relevant experience, and certification or eligibility for ASCP/AMT/NCA, with certification due within 12 months. Strong computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related sciences.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Certification or eligibility for board certification by ASCP; AMT; NCA or equivalent.
• Certification must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
• Knowledge of various laboratory techniques and procedures.
• Ability to maintain quality control and records; computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests on patient specimens and provides information for diagnosis, treatment or prevention.
• Maintains records of performance and ensures results meet quality control standards.
• May instruct students, laboratory and non-laboratory staff on procedures.
• May participate in development and modification of procedures; works under supervision as needed.
