Job summary

Monroe Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a full-time Laboratory Technologist for night shifts in Bloomington, IN. The role involves performing a wide range of laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and related areas with strict adherence to CLIA guidelines.

The position requires ASCP certification, a minimum of two years hospital lab experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in a health science field with a valid state license.

Qualifications

• ASCP certification or equivalent preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, biological health science or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived to highly complex tests as authorized by CLIA and applicable regulations.
• Adhere to laboratory procedures for collection, processing, analysis, and reporting of patient results.
• Maintain quality control and calibration, document corrective actions, and ensure accuracy of results.
• Possess ability to identify issues affecting test performance and communicate with supervisor or director as needed.
