Job summary

Lexington Health Northeast Emergency Department is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist for the night shift to support the new location opening in Spring 2027. The MLS will provide comprehensive lab services for inpatients and outpatients, performing routine and specialty testing with attention to quality and timely reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree (MLS/MT or eligible) and active MLS certification (ASCP or equivalent).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited institution.
• Active MT/MLS certification (ASCP or equivalent) required.
• Registry eligible candidates may apply and must obtain certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated laboratory testing per procedures.
• Conduct instrument calibration, quality control and maintenance.
• Review results and notify appropriate personnel of abnormal results as required.
• Maintain compliance with safety policies and document quality control activities.
