Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Part-time Medical Laboratory Technologist/MLS for the IL Central Lab. 3rd shift 10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m. with rotating weekends/holidays. Education: Bachelor’s in Clinical Laboratory Sciences with MT/MLS eligibility.

No experience required. 28 hours weekly. Excellent benefits and opportunities for professional growth. Responsibilities include performing and monitoring tests, evaluating results, ensuring quality control, and training staff while complying with CAP

Qualifications

• Performs, evaluates and monitors laboratory tests within protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports results.
• Supervises training of staff and assists in education protocols.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and monitor workflow.
• Evaluate results and report clinically significant findings.
• Calibrate and maintain instruments; troubleshoot issues.
• Provide guidance and training to technicians and phlebotomists.
• Support quality assurance and regulatory standards.
