Job summary

Saint Anthony Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Medical Lab Technologist (MLT) for the 10:00pm–6:30am shift. The role performs standardized clinical laboratory analyses used for diagnosis and treatment, with quality control, instrument maintenance, validation, and proficiency testing.

As a team member, you will operate lab instruments, ensure data integrity in the LIS, participate in QA activities, train new staff, and support POCT oversight.

Responsibilities

• Performs standardized clinical laboratory analyses to aid diagnosis, prevention or treatment of disease.
• Notifies stat and critical values and communicates results with physicians and care teams.
• Operates and maintains laboratory instruments, performs preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Manages data entry in laboratory information systems and ensures data confidentiality.
• Participates in quality assessment activities and documents corrective actions.
• Trains new staff and supervises charge duties in the supervisor's absence.
