Job summary

Tidelands Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform routine laboratory tests that support diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This is a night shift (8 hours) on a 4-on/10s schedule, Monday through Thursday.

As part of our team, you will conduct chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and immunology tests, report results, maintain QC, prepare specimens, calibrate equipment and ensure safety and infection control compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Medical Lab Technology or related science.
• Clinical training in an accredited Medical Lab Technology program.
• Knowledge of lab principles, safety, infection control, and HIPAA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and immunology tests.
• Report test results and alert providers about abnormal findings.
• Ensure quality control, proper sampling, and accurate record keeping.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Set up, calibrate, clean, and test sterility of lab equipment.
• Comply with OSHA safety and infection control policies.
• Serve as a back-up to Lab Manager as needed.
