Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for the Laboratory at Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, NC. The position is full-time (40 hours) with night shifts, Tuesday–Friday, 9pm–7am, within the Laboratory department.

Candidates should have an Associate degree or higher and MLT certification; NAACLS program experience is preferred. The role emphasizes safe practices, accurate results, and timely reporting in a busy hospital lab.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a lab science is preferred.
• MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification is required.
• NAACLS approved Medical Technician program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate test results and respond to STATs.
• Follow QC/QA procedures and document results in LIS.
• Accurately identify patients and label samples; maintain safety.
• Coordinate with lab staff to meet turnaround times and workflow.
