Job summary

Tidelands Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform routine laboratory tests in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and immunology. You will report results per clinic protocols and alert staff to abnormal findings.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in Medical Lab Technology and clinical training; strong knowledge of lab safety, accuracy, and HIPAA is essential. This position supports the Lab Manager and works as part of a patient-focused team.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Medical Lab Technology or related science required.
• Clinical training in an accredited Medical Lab Technology program required.
• Knowledge of lab safety, infection control and OSHA policies.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemistry, hematology, urinalysis and immunology tests.
• Report results following protocols and alert providers of abnormal findings.
• Maintain quality control, proper specimen collection and accurate records.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensure sterility and supply readiness.
• Comply with all lab policies and HIPAA regulations; act as back-up to Lab Manager as needed.
