Job summary

SSM Health DePaul Hospital in St. Louis is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Night Shift in a 36-hour week in the Med Surg department. Provides direct nursing care, follows policies, and collaborates with an inter-professional team to optimize patient outcomes.

Responsibilities include applying nursing processes, developing care plans, educating patients and families, and mentoring colleagues while maintaining safety and compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program
• BLS HCP certification required
• RN license in Missouri or a compact state

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per established policies and protocols.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Develop and implement care plans addressing physical, social, cultural and developmental needs.
• Collaborate with patient, family and inter-professional team to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on measures to promote health and comfort.
• Mentor and role model for nursing staff and students.
• Maintain safety, ethics and evidence-based practice in care delivery.
