Job summary

SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis is seeking a Regular, Night Shift RN to provide direct nursing care in the Med Surg unit (3S). You will work 36 hours per week and participate in patient care planning according to established hospital policies and procedures.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with no prior experience required. This role includes opportunities for professional development and a comprehensive benefits package in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Uses standards of medical-surgical nursing practice to increase the quality of care and quality of life for the patient, family, and significant other(s).
• Establishes effective relationships and advocates for the patient to develop a care plan.
• Develops and implements the plan of care using nursing processes and data collection.
• Assesses physical, functional, cultural, social, economic, developmental, spiritual, vocational, and leisure health needs.
• Coordinates with the inter-professional team to plan interventions and evaluate outcomes.
• Communicates with patients and families about care decisions in a culturally sensitive and ethical manner.
• Educates patients and families about health measures and comfort.
• Mentors colleagues and promotes a healthy work environment.
