Job summary
Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL is seeking a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive care for patients recovering from surgery and managing acute or chronic conditions. The role emphasizes teamwork and patient education, with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and a $15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities include initial assessments, monitoring, administering medications, and coordinating with the care team.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN license.
- BLS certification required at hire and kept current.
- ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire (preferred).
- Ventilator management experience preferred.
- BSN preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients.
- Monitor vital signs, intake/output, and other clinical indicators.
- Recognize deterioration and respond promptly.
- Safely administer prescribed medications (oral, IV, subcutaneous, intramuscular).
- Act as liaison between patients, families and healthcare team.
- Educate patients on conditions, treatments, and lifestyle.
- Communicate with physicians, specialists, therapists and social workers to adjust care plans.
- Utilize Epic for charting.
- New grads welcome to join the team.
