Job summary

Medical City Healthcare in Irving, TX seeks an experienced Med Surg Nursing Supervisor to influence patient care and lead on the night shift with weekend rotation. You will coordinate care, mentor staff, and partner with nursing leadership to drive outcomes and a patient-centered experience.

The CNC role requires clinical leadership, collaboration, and the ability to manage staffing, training, and unit operations to support quality care and safety.

Qualifications

• RN is required for the role.
• Associate Degree or RN Diploma is expected.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes for throughput and quality.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services.
• Collaborates with managers to create teamwork for improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and service recovery when needed.
• Operates nursing strategies including hourly rounds and staff engagement.
• Gives recommendations on interviewing, selecting and training staff.
• Assists with staff scheduling and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and supplies management.
