Job summary

Medical City Arlington is hiring a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate all unit functions during shifts. In collaboration with management, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care per policies, serving as a resource and modeling the organization’s values for an outstanding patient experience and outcomes.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• RN license required (Registered Nurse).
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing, or RN diploma.
• No travel required.
• 1 year of nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services in the unit, with leadership collaboration.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and managers to foster teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Operationalizes nursing strategies to improve engagement, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training staff; supports performance evaluations and corrective actions.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.
