Job summary

Versatex in Aliquippa is hiring for an entry-level Material Handler. You will inspect, package, label, and move materials to Finished Goods, safely operating forklifts per SOPs. This night shift pays $22.23 per hour plus a $1.50 shift differential and includes a $1500 sign-on bonus with staged bonuses at 90 days, 6 months and 1 year.

The role requires math proficiency, reliable attendance, forklift and material handler training, and hands-on QC checks to ensure product quality before shipping.

Qualifications

• Proficient with basic math including fractions and decimals.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Reliable attendance during probationary period.
• Complete Material Handler and Forklift Training Programs.
• Self-directed in material handling tasks and QC checks.
• Familiar with Core computer systems and Black Book Specs.
• Operate Fox IV label printer and basic machine functions.
• Perform QC fit testing and follow 5-S standards.
• Operate the Pulverizer.

Responsibilities

• Regular, punctual attendance.
• Notify shift supervisor of problems.
• Relay information to Group Leads and Supervisors.
• Read and interpret safety rules, SOPs.
• Perform basic math and count boards/sheets.
• Identify/report machine issues.
• Follow line schedule, QC specs, and 5-S.
• Maintain 5S program standards.
• Perform visual inspections; report defects.
• Apply PPE and 5-S SOPs.
• Understand all QC checks and use tools for timely QC.
• Maintain tools and equipment in Fab areas.
