Job summary

Mars Petcare in North Kansas City, MO is hiring a Material Handler for the night shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) in a climate-controlled facility. You will handle inbound/outbound logistics, inventory, and documentation, working closely with production, purchasing, receiving, shipping, and quality teams.

The role requires forklift experience, strong math and organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and GMPs in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience in warehouse logistics, receiving, shipping, or material handling.
• Demonstrated forklift experience in industrial setting.
• Good physical condition; able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Working knowledge of basic computer programs for data entry and inventory logs.
• Strong math, detail orientation, and communication skills.
• Team player with ability to learn and be coached.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming raw materials, packaging, and components.
• Safely unload inbound trucks with a forklift and store materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory via warehouse management systems and cycle counts.
• Stage, build, and load outbound trailers; ensure proper weight distribution.
• Adhere to GMPs and food safety requirements; keep a clean, organized warehouse.
