Job summary

Mars Petcare (Greenies) North Kansas City facility is seeking a Material Handler for the night shift. You will manage inbound/outbound logistics, unload materials with a forklift, and maintain inventory in a climate-controlled environment.

The role supports production by issuing and staging materials, ensuring FIFO, and performing cycle counts. Prior forklift experience and strict safety mindset are essential for success in this team-oriented operation.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent civilian/military education.
• Experience: Proven experience in warehouse logistics, receiving, shipping, or material handling roles.
• Equipment: Demonstrated experience operating a forklift safely in an industrial or warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify all incoming raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and components against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
• Use a forklift to safely unload inbound trucks and transfer materials to storage locations.
• Conduct quality and food safety checks on incoming materials.
• Safely operate material handling equipment to transport inventory, raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Stage, build, and load outbound trailers for shipment with proper weight distribution.
