Job summary

LaMotte Company in Chestertown, MD is seeking a Weekend QC Technician for the 3rd shift on a part-time basis, Friday and Saturday nights 11:00 pm to 7:15 am. You will perform routine quality checks and basic lab tasks under supervision.

The role requires following SOPs, recording results, maintaining equipment, and supporting SRP reagent preparation and production coverage as needed. A high school diploma and lab experience are preferred, with further training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; High school chemistry, general lab coursework, or hands-on lab/production experience required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in a science field is a plus.
• Experience with basic laboratory tools or willingness to learn through training.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine quality checks on materials and finished products following written procedures.
• Record test results and maintain logs and batch records.
• Prepare SRP reagents and support SRP production area as needed.
• Inspect components for defects before use and report out-of-spec results.
• Maintain lab readiness and comply with safety and 6S standards.
