Job summary

Lennox in Orangeburg, SC is seeking a design-focused engineer who plans and designs complex manufacturing processes in an industrial plant, providing technical leadership for machining, metal forming, plastics processing, welds, assembly and material handling.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, at least 5 years of related experience, strong CAD experience, and excellent communication skills. Shift: 10 PM–7 AM. This exempt position offers competitive compensation and bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of related engineering experience.
• Experience with CAD software and manufacturing processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide complex advisory support in design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of manufacturing operations.
• Conceive and plan projects involving major production activities and new concepts or approaches in manufacturing operations.
• Conduct independent technical investigations applying complex technical principles.
• Evaluate test and production data, prepare technical analyses, and recommend methods to meet design objectives.
• Coordinate complex technical matters related to drawings, change notices, rework and manufacturing difficulties.
• Coordinate with other technical support personnel.
• Assign work to drafters and technicians and provide work leadership.
