US Smokeless Tobacco Co in Richmond, VA is seeking a Maintenance Unit Leader to supervise a 11pm–7am shift at the manufacturing center. You will lead teams, translate business strategies into actionable plans, and ensure safe, compliant maintenance operations.

The role requires leadership experience, electrical maintenance know-how, and the ability to coach others. This position emphasizes problem solving, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Associates degree OR four-year state approved apprenticeship and at least three years relevant leadership experience.
• In lieu of education, five years manufacturing or leadership experience.
• Possess relevant experience in electrical maintenance.
• Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; familiarity with Quality Systems / Lean Principles within manufacturing.
• Ability to coach and lead employees in a team-based environment.
• Open to working 3rd shift (11pm-7am).

Responsabilités

• Managing resources and staffing levels within the unit to meet production, compliance, team and project objectives.
• Develop and sustain problem solving, continuous improvement and decision-making skills.
• Mentor and reward team performance, and administer consequences when appropriate.
• Develop and monitor key measures linking unit performance to factory objectives.
• Coordinate troubleshooting, maintenance, and planned activities to meet schedules and ensure effective work execution.
• Share information to support problem solving and process improvement within Work Teams.
