Job summary

The Simplot Company is seeking a Maintenance Support Technician 1 (Crew C) for the Caldwell, ID facility. This role ensures reliable operation of industrial mechanical equipment and requires adherence to safety, sanitation, and GMP standards.

The position offers a night shift (6pm-6am) with a starting pay around $37.00 per hour plus night differential. Typical duties include preventive maintenance, parts identification, work-order execution, and coordination with other teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• Two years of industrial or food processing mechanical experience required.
• Able to perform sound welding per welding code and food-safe standards.
• Must provide required tools (see tools list).
• Combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment in their work area.
• Maintains shop inventories, tools and equipment; creates and completes work orders.
• Coordinates or schedules additional work and locates parts.
• Documents, monitors, and reports shift events and PM data.
• Maintains safety, quality, sanitation, and GMPs.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associates degree or technical certification

Two years of industrial or food processing mechanical experience

Welding knowledge (food-safe)
