The Simplot Company seeks an experienced industrial mechanic to ensure efficient operation of all mechanical equipment across the facility, including packaging and processing areas. You will diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and execute repairs to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include lubrication, oil analysis, welds, disassembly and reassembly of pumps and gearboxes, and maintaining safety and GMP standards. Shift is 6pm–6am with hourly pay of $36.90.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of industrial or food processing mechanical experience.
• Associate degree or technical certification is preferred.
• Must obtain a valid equipment operator’s license with a Lift Truck within 30 days.
• Able to perform sound welds per welding code (wire feed, stick, heliarc, Oxy-Acetylene and sanitary welds).
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must provide required tools at offer stage.

Responsabilités

• Lubricate equipment including pumps, motors, hydraulic systems and product transport systems per specs.
• Maintain oil inventories and oil storage areas.
• Perform oil analyses and take corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment at the Water Recovery Plant to minimize downtime.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment in Water Recovery Plant and packaging areas.
• Weld and fabricate using various processes on stainless steel, iron, aluminum and other metals.
• Maintain safety, GMPs, and food safety standards.
• Assist in training other plant personnel.
• Coordinate work orders and parts inventory.
