Job summary

FrieslandCampina Ingredients North America in Delhi, New York, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot and maintain mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment in a manufacturing facility, including PLC controlled processing and three‑phase systems.

This unionized role requires night, weekend, and holiday shifts with union dues. You will install, calibrate, and service temperature, pressure, and flow devices while advancing through the TPC training program.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent with 2+ years manufacturing experience.
• Electrical maintenance certification preferred.
• PLC troubleshooting/programming experience.
• Instrumentation calibration experience.
• Experience with high‑pressure boiler.
• Sanitary welding is a plus.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspection rounds on equipment in assigned areas.
• Read and execute work orders for maintenance or installation of machinery.
• Maintain knowledge of resources including vendors and technicians.
• Progress through the Mechanic step training program TPC.
• Work on equipment types: water, air, steam, electrical, gas, refrigeration, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Install, test and calibrate new equipment ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Inspect machines for malfunctions and conduct scheduled maintenance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot signs of malfunction such as changes in performance or sounds.
