Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for a wrap night shift (7:00 AM–7:00 PM on a 2-2-3 schedule) in Illinois. The role requires 3+ years in maintenance within manufacturing, with preference for injection molding or extrusion experience and packaging equipment knowledge.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control systems, read blueprints, and perform preventive maintenance. Compensation ranges from $29.88 to $44.84 per hour, with company-provided tools and opportunities for

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with injection molding or extrusion is preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with packaging equipment is desirable.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Own tools; company provides additional specialty tools if necessary.
• Good communication with supervision and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical wiring and electronic controllers as necessary.
• Tear down and replace defective components such as bearings, motors, servo motors, PLCs, gears, drives, clutches, brakes, belts, chains and electrical parts.
• Perform all preventive maintenance checks as required.
• Work from blueprints, drawings, and layouts.
• Repair equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Monitor equipment and report issues to supervision.
• Follow safety rules and keep the work area clean and orderly.
