Job summary

Nice-pak Products Llc in Indiana is seeking a maintenance technician for a night shift on a 2-2-3 rotation (hours 5:50pm–6am). The role focuses on keeping production equipment available at 85%+ and supporting best practices in machine maintenance and operation.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairs, setups, changeovers, and collaboration with Maintenance Supervisors and Production teams. Emphasis on safety, documentation, and continuous improvement using CMMS tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Less than two years’ maintenance technician experience in a similar industry or mechanical field.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards.
• Basic mathematics.
• Able to use basic workshop tools safely per SOPs.
• General ability to understand technical manuals.
• Use of Windows-based PC programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Prefer vocational/college training in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
• Some experience with automated machinery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety and OSHA procedures in all work activities.
• Repair and maintain production equipment.
• Safely use lifting devices and fixtures in the facility.
• Communicate with production on setups, changeovers, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Select and use proper tools for maintenance tasks.
• Understand lubrication practices and equipment parts for upkeep.
• Record maintenance issues and actions during each shift.
• Use CMMS to initiate, lookup, and close out work orders.
• Assist production supervision with scheduling and line priorities.
• Remain on 100% floor coverage for designated areas.
