Job summary

Apace Packaging is seeking a maintenance technician for night shifts to ensure high-quality packaging production with minimal downtime. The role requires performing preventive and corrective maintenance, setting up equipment for changeovers, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment on a 12-hour schedule.

You will work with multiple departments to meet regulatory requirements and support production needs, including occasional cross-coverage on the line as required by operations.

Qualifications

• Must read and comprehend weight and measuring devices.
• Must be responsible and self-motivated.
• Demonstrate manual dexterity and attention to details.
• Knowledge of compressed air/pneumatics, electrical single and three phase, control circuits, sensors, cylinders, and conveyors.
• Able to work with hand tools and power tools used in maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and processes.
• Keep equipment in proper working condition with minimal production delays.
• Maintain preventive maintenance and update records.
• Perform unscheduled/corrective maintenance as needed.
• Set up equipment for changeovers with limited delays.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Communicate efficiently and record work effectively.
• Possibly fill in for other production line roles as needed.
• Support installation of new systems.
