Job summary

Perdue Farms Inc. in Dillon, SC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic III to diagnose complex issues, perform advanced repairs, and lead preventive maintenance to keep production running.

You will work Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM, applying expertise in hydraulics, conveyors, pumps, and electrical systems to improve equipment reliability and ensure safe, efficient operations on the production floor.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Strong reading, communication math, writing, and analytical skills.
• Must possess knowledge of hydraulic systems, conveyor systems and an aptitude for industrial machinery.
• Must be proficient in at least six (6) of the following areas: Reading Blueprints/Schematics; Cut and weld (Oxygen, Acetylene and Aluminum) all types of metals; Hydraulics; Pumps; Electrical wiring and motors; Filter systems; Pipe fitting/plumbing; Operation of shop equipment; Millwright; Sheet metal fabrication; Refrigeration systems; Pneumatics; Carpentry; Certified electrician

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of and able to perform all the tasks required for a Maintenance Mechanic III.
• Provide own personal hand tools needed to safely perform the job.
• Provide a means of notification/communication during non-working hours for emergencies.
• Ensure shop and surrounding areas are kept clean by the removal of all debris.
• Other duties as assigned by Leadership.
