Job summary

Perdue Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to join a diverse team, ensuring safe, efficient plant operation. You will support machinery performance, perform basic maintenance, and participate in on-the-job training toward new certifications.

Schedule: Mon–Fri, 10:00pm–6:00am; occasional weekend work as needed. This role offers hands-on learning and a clear path for growth within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and equivalent experience.
• 0 - 3 years experience in Industrial maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on Mechanical and Electrical Equipment.
• Beginner proficiency in Hydraulics, Mechanics, Electrical, Welding and Rigging.
• 2-year Technical Degree in Engineering or Industrial Maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine inspections.
• Perform basic troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• May assist in managing machine performance through setup and production changeovers.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly and maintain clear records and reports.
• Follow all safety standards and quality protocols to ensure production exceeds standards.
• Collaborate with production staff to solve problems with reliability and urgency.
