Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Maintenance Technician III for the Forsyth, GA plant. This role supports the maintenance team in keeping equipment reliable, with advanced troubleshooting in hydraulics, mechanics, electrical systems, welding and rigging.

Expect a Monday–Friday schedule, 5:00pm–4:00am, with weekends as needed. Candidates should have 5–8 years in industrial maintenance, PLC familiarity, and a willingness to pursue on‑the‑job training and additional certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5–8 years in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment; military experience acceptable.
• Expert proficiency in hydraulics, mechanics, electrical work, welding and rigging.
• Intermediate proficiency with PLCs.
• Commitment to continuous learning and maintenance excellence.
• Maintains QEW certification and demonstrates maintenance proficiency within 10 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex machinery and perform preventive maintenance to ensure production efficiency.
• Provide operators with support around machine reliability and collaborate with technicians to solve problems.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment setup and production changeovers.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly and report safety concerns.
• Follow safety standards and quality protocols to meet production standards, and maintain records and reports.
