Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC in Sterling, MA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding production equipment to maximize uptime, safe operations, and product quality.

You will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on blown film extrusion equipment and assist with repairs to minimize downtime. The shift runs 10:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. with a $1.65/hour premium.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience.
• Technical degree, apprenticeship, or vocational training in industrial maintenance preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in plastics, blown film, extrusion, packaging or manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures including LOTO, confined space, and machine guarding requirements.
• Maintain clean and organized work area per 5S standards.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and rebuild mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process control components on extrusion equipment.
• Perform maintenance on extruders, die heads, air rings, winders, pumps, and related systems.
• Document maintenance activities and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
