Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to keep production machinery and automated systems running at peak performance. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and rebuild equipment, and perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement across the facility.

This 2nd shift position (1:00-9:30pm) offers hands-on problem solving with advanced equipment, opportunities to impact operational success, and a pathway to maintenance proficiency

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years experience in Industrial Maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on Mechanical and Electrical Equipment, and/or equivalent military experience.
• Intermediate Proficiency in Hydraulics, Mechanics, Electrical, Welding and Rigging.
• Must be able to demonstrate/achieve and maintain Maintenance Tech II proficiency within 10 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broader range of duties, more technically complex tasks, expected to set an example of professional efficiency and may provide technical direction to staff.
• Provide equipment maintenance, interventions, and repairs, and conduct preventive machinery maintenance.
• Perform intermediate level troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Provide Operators with support around machine overall equipment reliability.
• Assist in troubleshooting equipment setup and production changeovers.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly and report unusual or dangerous conditions.
• Maintain work records and prepare clear and concise oral and written reports.
• Follow safety standards and quality protocols to ensure production exceeds standards.
• Use safety precautions and protect against chemicals, dust, and hazards.
• Learn and observe all safety precautions as required.
• Work all required schedules; occasional travel to nearby locations.
