Job summary

Eco Material Technologies is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair facility machinery and systems. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, diagnosing issues, and performing preventive maintenance with accuracy and safety in mind.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year of relevant experience, and proficiency with mechanical and electrical systems. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work a night shift in Alabama.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational or technical training certificate or associate's degree in related field a plus
• At least 1 year of experience in a relevant field
• Must be able to follow safety protocols and adhere to company safety standards
• Must have technical expertise of mechanical and electrical systems, problem-solving ability, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and communication skills
• Ability to diagnose issues with equipment and systems by using diagnostic tools, observing symptoms, and testing components
• Skilled in the use of a wide range of hand and power tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, impact wrenches, and pneumatic tools
• Adaptable and willing to learn and multi tasks and set priorities
• Ability to work effectively in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to collaborate and work with coworkers to solve complex problems
• Ability to stay up to date with advancements in technology and new maintenance techniques
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other pertinent operating systems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Inspect machinery, equipment, and systems to identify issues and ensure they are functioning properly and efficiently
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good working condition and prevent breakdowns
• Accurately diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment and systems, using diagnostic tools and their own expertise
• Perform repairs or replace parts as necessary
• Work with both electrical and mechanical systems within the facility
• Respond to emergency repair requests to address urgent issues and minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate work, share information, and address issues
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in technology and new maintenance techniques
• Must keep work area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency
• Generates work orders and closes them in operating systems once they are completed
• May be required to be on-call
• Regular attendance, timeliness, and scheduling flexibility
