Job summary

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division in Reno, NV is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician for the 3rd shift. The role offers $34.20 per hour plus a $1 shift differential.

COR hours are 10PM - 6:30PM, with a focus on troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical systems. Responsibilities include preventive and reactive maintenance on production equipment, installing and repairing electrical systems per schematics, and supporting Lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or technical/electrical training.
• Experience reading electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• No relocation; within 50 miles of Reno, NV.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electronic and mechanical malfunctions on plant equipment.
• Repair mechanical power presses, power transmissions, conveyors.
• Install and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, vision systems, MCCs, motors.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Inspect electrical systems for hazards and NEC compliance.
• Install/repair electrical systems per diagrams and specs.
• Operate lifts and fabricate devices to improve operations.
• Welding, prototyping, plumbing, painting, carpentry as needed.
• Support Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Technical school diploma

Associate’s degree in electronics or commercial and industrial electrical systems
