Eaton is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift in Reno, NV. The role involves troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues on plant equipment, and performing preventative and reactive maintenance.

The position requires reading blueprints, operating CMMS/SAP, and handling forklift work. Core hours are 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m. The company offers strong benefits and opportunities for LEAN improvement projects.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Valid driver’s license is required.
Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial and industrial electricity or maintenance; or a technical school diploma/associate degree in electronics or industrial electrical systems.
Experience reading electrical/mechanical blueprints and schematics.
Experience with CMMS and SAP.
Microsoft Office experience.
Ability to operate sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical malfunctions on plant machines or related equipment.
Install, troubleshoot and repair PLCs, HMIs, VFD drives, vision systems and control panels.
Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
Inspect electrical systems for hazards and NEC compliance.
Install new or used manufacturing equipment; fabricate and machine parts as needed.
Operate lifts for work in elevated locations.
Support LEAN initiatives and continuous improvement.
