Job summary

Amgen Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech for the Rhode Island site to support maintenance and repair of production equipment on a 12-hour night shift (7 PM–7 AM). You will work with a maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards, with added 15% shift differential and premium pay for Sundays.

Onboarding is initially 2–6 weeks, Monday–Friday typical hours. Responsibilities include executing preventive and corrective maintenance, documenting work orders in

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and 1 year of utility operations or maintenance work or military experience OR Associate degree.
• 3+ years of combined education, training, or experience in mechanical maintenance with exposure to sanitary processing equipment and systems.
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience working in a regulated environment such as cGMP manufacturing.
• Familiarity with executing and documenting maintenance work orders in a CMMS (e.g., Maximo).
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and equipment documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on equipment and systems used in Manufacturing, the Process Development Laboratory, the Quality Analytical Laboratory, or other ARI site areas.
• Support preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance tasks following established procedures and safety standards.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site procedures and compliance requirements.
• Assist in diagnosing equipment issues and escalating complex problems when needed.
• Accurately complete work order documentation in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Communicate maintenance activities, equipment status, and issues with operators and team members.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
