Job summary
Amgen in Rhode Island is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician / Electrician to operate and maintain electrical power generation and distribution systems at the ARI site.
The role involves a 12-hour night shift (7PM-7AM) on a rotating schedule with a 15% shift differential and premium pay for Sundays, with onboarding hours initially 8am–5pm. You will troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment, support building fire alarm systems, and ensure safe, compliant operation under cGMP and SOP
Qualifications
- High school/GED + 2 years electrical systems/maintenance work or military experience.
- Associate’s + 6 months electrical systems/maintenance work or military experience.
- Rhode Island Journeyperson Electrician license or ability to obtain RI license; 5+ years electrical/utilities experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain electrical power generation and distribution systems.
- Operate and maintain backup/emergency power systems including UPS.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical equipment and systems.
- Support operation and maintenance of Building Fire Alarm systems; follow SOPs and cGMPs.
