Job summary

HelloFresh Newark, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to maintain and repair conveyance, automation and facilities equipment, ensuring uptime and reliability. This role covers safety, preventative maintenance, and hands-on troubleshooting across conveyors, robotics, and related systems.

You will document work in CMMS, mentor others, and participate in root-cause analysis. A high school diploma is required with Mechatronics preferred; travel up to 5% may be needed.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience with conveyor, automation, robotics, and/or refrigeration repair and maintenance including mechanical and electrical operations.
• Intermediate understanding of machinery and equipment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to read basic schematics.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% for business purposes.
• High School diploma or equivalent; Mechatronics degree preferred.
• Experience with inputs/outputs and PLC logic systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with safety, food safety, and security standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on conveyors, automation, robotics and ancillary equipment.
• Troubleshoot out of service equipment and escalate as needed.
• Document work in CMMS and ticketing systems.
• Mentor maintenance personnel to develop skills and knowledge.
• Assist and perform root cause analysis of downtime events.
• Perform building project work as assigned.
